Hello! My name is Ishaan Mehta and I live in the beautiful Southern California. From a very early age, Having been fascinated by technology since childhood – from coding apps and designing websites to building e-bicycles and computers – I understand the power of the digital world: Technology when used responsibly can make a great impact in enriching our lives.
Why I started Senior Shield
Senior Shield is a very near and dear project for me. Senior Shield was born from my firsthand experience helping my grandparents navigate the complexities of the internet and protect themselves from online threats. Witnessing their challenges and the prevalence of scams targeting seniors ignited my desire to bridge the digital divide and empower older adults with robust online security. That's why I've created Senior Shield: to provide clear, actionable tips, much like the advice I offer my own grandparents, for avoiding scams and staying safe online. You'll also find my specially designed toolkit for seniors on Amazon. Beyond this website, I actively collaborate with local senior centers, sharing my knowledge and helping seniors feel more confident and secure online. My goal is to make navigating the internet a positive and safe experience for everyone.
